The Emerald Transport Display (ETD) v2 Front Encoder and Keypad is used in monitoring systems as the front display and consists of the front bezel, keypad, clip, switches/trim knobs, service manual, labels and carton packaging box. The Dash 4000 front display bezel is made up of Bayblend FR3010HF which is a composition of polycarbonate and ABS. It has a flame retardant and good UV resistant. The textured surfaces are of class 1 type B and untextured surfaces are of class 2 type C. The keypad is a silicone rubber material and has indicator LED lights. The service manual is used to replace the unit and to verify proper operation of the device after reassembly. The label contains specific information about the component. It is made up of thermal transfer polyester vinyl white which have high tensile strength and good clarity. The liner used is white and it has a minimum shelf life of 2 years. It has a removable adhesive and is die cut to the liner. A trim knob is a rotary encoder knob where the inputs is received by the user and fitted in the front display. The number of pulses represents the number of steps the knob rotates. The box is made of single wall B flute corrugated fiberboard which have antistatic foam pad and convoluted pad.
