The Pin Base Arm Stop comes as a part of the suction bottle mounting arm kit in an anesthesia delivery system. It is used to stop the base arm. The base arm is placed on the base casting by applying Loctite® lubricant. The pin has a head and a shaft. The shaft is punched into the base casting with head above it. The head is present next to the arm and it stops any movement. It is made of an acetal polymer, a crystalline plastic material which is very strong. It has a good wear resistance, thus making it highly advantageous to use in varying environments. It is tough and can resist external impact and thus prevents damage to the arm. The chemical resistant property of the material makes it desirable to use in medical environments. It is used as a part of S/5 Aisys and other medical equipment.
