The Potentiometer is a three-terminal variable resistor. It can be adjusted manually and has a 10-turn potential. It comes as a part of the collimator in a radiography system. The radiography systems are used for imaging method diagnosis using X-rays. The systems work on the principle where high velocity electrons, when interacted with the patient’s body, have their kinetic energy converted into electromagnetic radiation. The potentiometer is used to measure the rotation of the shaft.
